EXCITING opportunity for a Programmer with Symitar experience! Our Programmers provide business application support for our core banking system (Symitar) and other business applications. This position supports all aspects of application programming, analyzes and develops program specifications to meet user needs while working closely with outside vendors to maintain and modify software applications. The primary purpose of this position is to assist Atlanta Postal Credit Union (APCU) to live out our Mission, “To help our members achieve financial success by providing exceptional products and service.” The Programmer role is responsible for providing business application support for APCU's core system (Symitar) and business applications used by the various credit union divisions. The position performs all aspects of applications programming, analysis, and development of system specifications to meet user needs. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining applications; creating and maintaining applications in PowerOn that automate Symitar postings and integrate with Symitar and third-party applications. The programmer will consult with business partners and internal stakeholders to understand and define requirements for changing business needs or member experience enhancements. They will develop, implement, and maintain routine to complex software applications using multiple technologies, platforms, and interfaces. Additionally, the programmer will research available tools and technologies to determine alternative technology solutions, modify acquired application software using vendor supplied customization tools, and ensure accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness through thorough testing and support of user acceptance testing. The position requires effective communication skills, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to execute multiple complex projects within scope and timelines. Compliance with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations is also required. Occasional travel up to 10% and occasional night or weekend work hours may be necessary. Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports. Achieves established objectives and results through communications with internal and external stakeholders, managers, and members.
