The University at Buffalo, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Behavioral Medicine is looking for a computer Programmer to provide IT programming support and tools for scientific research purposes. Ideal candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented individuals, with a creative and analytical mindset, and are comfortable working in a Windows development environment. You will work with the IT Project Coordinator and external collaborators in the planning, design, development, and maintenance of various software products i.e., web, desktop, and utilities.

  • Provide IT programming support and tools for scientific research purposes.
  • Work with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, Java, Node.JS.
  • Utilize ASP.NET MVC5 and related .NET frameworks.
  • Configure Windows Web Server and MySQL Database Server.
  • Manage Git repositories.
  • Analyze web analytics tools and related analyses.
  • Perform server management.
  • BA or BS in related field.
  • 1 year experience in programming.
  • Familiarity with necessary computer programming languages.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Experience with Atlassian products: Jira, Confluence, BitBucket.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (WordPress, Drupal).
  • Knowledge of C#, Python, React.JS.
  • Experience in Android development.
  • IIS Configuration.
