The Gynecologic Oncology Department is seeking a programmer to support advanced data analysis and machine learning initiatives in collaboration with clinicians and basic scientists. The candidate will develop and maintain software applications and SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze complex datasets from clinical and hospital systems. Responsibilities include implementing basic machine learning algorithms to uncover patterns and insights relevant to biomedical research, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data used in research projects and writing detailed reports for the analysis. The programmer will work closely with research teams to define data and modeling requirements, document program logic, and generate reports that support grants. The programmer will take a lead in the analysis of certain projects and meet with collaborators and mentor lower-level programmer/analysts, as required. Additional duties involve monitoring program performance, troubleshooting issues, refining data processing methods, and contributing to the design and enhancement of data systems to meet evolving research needs. Starting salary is $90,600.
