In this key role, you will be at the forefront of shaping and advancing our Data Engineering solutions, primarily through the enhancement of our existing data platform. Additionally, you will collaborate with various elements of our global data ecosystem. Working closely with Global Analytics business stakeholders, your duties will encompass data integration, data modeling, execution of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and the implementation of flexible data solutions. These solutions will be meticulously designed with a strong emphasis on data quality, adhering to the best practices in data warehousing. These efforts are crucial for the success of our data-driven initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to assess source systems, identify foundational data sources, determine transformation needs, create appropriate data models, and document the design and specifications
  • Develop systems and datasets by applying software engineering best practices, fundamental data management principles, contemporary distributed systems
  • Create, maintain, and optimize data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into data storage systems
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data pipelines, databases, and related systems
  • Demonstrate passion for quality and productivity by use of efficient development techniques, standards and guidelines
  • Produce technical documentation to support data delivery development
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in a Data Warehouse (DWH) environment and experience with Data integration/ETL of large and complex data sets
  • Expertise in performance tuning and scaling of BI systems
  • Proficiency in SQL and database technologies such as AWS Redshift and expertise in performance tuning and scaling in a DWH environment
  • Data modeling skills such as Star/Snowflake schema design for DWH
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with different teams for sourcing of data
  • Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g. Python)
  • Effective analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn fast, work independently with little supervision and deliver on time quality products
  • Experience with Agile Scrum
