Quality Staffing, Inc., also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search, a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the area's top companies, is looking for an experienced Programmer/Analyst 3 to work through our agency as a contract employee with the Tennessee Department of General Services (TN DGS) located in Nashville, TN. This is a hybrid position working from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday for a total of 37.5 hours. The pay rate for this position is $53.50 per hour. Programmer/Analyst 3 Job Summary: The Tennessee Department of General Services is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to support the deployment, integration, and maintenance of smart building technologies. This role requires hands-on experience with Milestone Systems video management software, Niagara 4 building automation platforms, and a strong working knowledge of low voltage cabling, lighting control systems, and basic IP networking. MUST BE LOCAL TO THE NASHVILLE AREA!!

  • Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Milestone Systems XProtect video surveillance platforms.
  • Integrating and managing Niagara 4 building automation systems, including HVAC, access control, and energy monitoring.
  • Deploying and supporting lighting control systems (e.g., GE Current Daintree, Wattstopper/Nlight or similar), including commissioning, zoning, and scheduling.
  • Designing and overseeing installation of low voltage cabling for security, automation, and lighting systems.
  • Collaborating with IT, facilities, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of building systems.
  • Maintaining system documentation, wiring diagrams, and configuration records.
  • Providing technical support and training to internal stakeholders and field technicians.
  • Assisting in evaluating and implementing new technologies to enhance building performance and occupant experience.
  • Demonstratable and hands-on experience with Milestone Systems (XProtect VMS preferred).
  • Demonstratable and hands-on experience with Niagara 4 framework and Tridium-based systems.
  • Strong understanding of low voltage systems, including structured cabling, PoE, and device connectivity.
  • Familiarity with lighting control platforms such as GE Current Daintree, Wattstopper, or similar.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, and switch configuration for connected devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, riser diagrams, and network schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
  • Certifications in Milestone, Niagara, or light control systems are a plus but not required.
  • Experience with BACnet, Modbus, or other building automation protocols preferred.
  • Project management or commissioning experience preferred.
