The Programmer Analyst 2 at Yale University will support research projects and clinical trials by managing complex data sets, developing programs for data cleaning and analysis, and collaborating with researchers to ensure data integrity and usability. This role involves working with various data sources and providing guidance throughout the research process, including data management and visualization.

  • Provide direct support for research projects and clinical trials.
  • Organize, manage, and ensure the integrity of complex data sets.
  • Develop programs for cleaning, extracting, organizing, and summarizing data.
  • Lead data sharing efforts and design electronic forms.
  • Collaborate with researchers to make data analysis understandable and provide training on database usage.
  • Conduct data warehousing activities such as mapping and transformations for multiple sources.
  • Manage several routine research projects simultaneously, ensuring design, testing, implementation, and prioritization objectives are met.
  • Document database procedures and resolve complex protocol issues in existing databases.
  • Work closely with study Principal Investigators to develop detailed data management and analysis plans.
  • Create reports for data quality and facilitate data management meetings.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Three years of demonstrated experience in analysis and programming of small to medium scale systems.
  • Proficient in programming, database development and management, and data analysis software (SAS, SQL, REDCap, Epic Reporting Tools).
  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to form strong relationships.
  • Proven ability to manage time and resources effectively and anticipate changes.
  • Training or education in computer science, informatics, or database programming.
