About The Position

This role will play a major component in the success of the Unity exchange networks, through onboarding new DSPs, solving technical issues, investigating client issues, integrating new DSPs, and more. This Support Engineer will report into the Prog Ops & Support team within the ecosystem of the Programmatic team and will be the technical point of contact for Account Managers, Sales, BD and more.

Requirements

  • Programmatic advertising technology expertise including knowledge of DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, real-time bidding (RTB), OpenRTB protocols, and ad serving ecosystems
  • Support engineering experience with proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues, manage escalations, communicate solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders, and balance multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with web debugging and network analysis tools (Chrome DevTools, Charles Proxy, Fiddler) to capture HTTP/S traffic, inspect bid requests/responses, and diagnose API integration issues
  • Strong data analysis skills using SQL, Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas), or similar tools to investigate discrepancies, identify patterns, and create actionable insights from large datasets
  • Experience implementing or working with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Python scripts, automation platforms) to improve operational efficiency, streamline workflows, or enhance problem-solving

Nice To Haves

  • Object oriented programming language; javascript or python
  • Familiarity with manipulating mobile advertising traffic via a web debugger
  • SQL experience

Responsibilities

  • Responding to Account Manager's technical issues they're having with a DSP. This can range from discrepancies, to investigating why bids aren't being won, why bid requests aren't coming through, to a range of other technical issues.
  • Integrating a new DSP to bid into the network
  • Implementing custom requests for ProgOps, Account Managers, and DSPs.
  • Responding to DSPs issues regarding bids, losses, discrepancies, show failures, broken creatives, rendering issues and more
