About The Position

JOIN OUR TEAM AS AN IOP PROGRAM THERAPIST! Monday and Friday 8a-4:30pm Tuesday-Thursday 11:30am-8pm Y our Work Matters How will you make a difference? We are excited to announce an opening for the Program Therapist at Hendricks Behavioral Hospital (HBH) . This role is pivotal in our mission to provide exceptional psychiatric care. As a Program Therapist, you will play a vital role in our mission to address the bio-psychosocial needs of our patients. This position involves performing social services functions and guiding patients in accessing therapeutic treatment skills to achieve optimal emotional health. Your responsibilities will include offering basic consultation, delivering specialized clinical social work services, crisis intervention, and conducting short-term and long-term family therapy. Contribute to the effective functioning of the patient's program and meet social work needs.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field is required.
  • Indiana State license in social work (LSW) or mental health counseling (LMHC-A) is strongly pre-ferred; the LCSW or LMHC license is preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience and strong skills in biopsychosocial assessment, treatment planning, treatment skills based on CBT methods, group therapy and discharge planning.
  • Crisis intervention skills are also required.
  • CPR certification and management of aggressive behavior training within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual/couples/family counseling with a focus on engagement, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with community agencies for patient assessment and services.
  • Evaluate and document the effectiveness of interventions and patient responses.
  • Assess the psychosocial, educational, and behavioral functioning of patients and document updates.
  • Utilize age-specific considerations in treatment planning.
  • Respond promptly to social work service requests.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings.
