About The Position

The Program Support Staff position at the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) of the University of New Mexico is designed for student employees to assist in providing support to students with documented disabilities. Requirements

• Understands and honors the importance of the confidentiality of student records and information.
• Committed to learning about and promoting accessibility, diversity, and inclusion in the UNM community.
• Detail-oriented, accurate, and able to follow ARC procedures to ensure UNM policies are followed.
• Open to learning new skills through training guided by ARC staff members.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to prioritize, multitask, and/or work under deadlines and/or time constraints if needed.
• Comfortable socializing, providing high-quality customer service, interacting with students and guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to students, faculty members, and visitors by offering essential information regarding academic accommodations.
• Assist students in registering with ARC to obtain necessary accommodations.
• Welcome students for their scheduled appointments or exams at the testing center.
• Manage incoming phone calls and route them to the appropriate contacts.
• Administer, proctor, and/or schedule exams to be taken at the ARC Testing Center.
