About The Position

The Program Supervisor for the Parents as Teachers (PAT) program at Northridge Hospital Medical Center is responsible for leading and overseeing the program's operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery to families with young children. This role involves staff supervision, program implementation, data management, and community engagement, all aimed at promoting healthy child development and strengthening parent-child relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, child development, or a related human services field.
  • Two years or more of supervisory experience in a social services environment.
  • Successful experience working with families, children, and/or parents, and knowledge of early childhood education best practices.
  • Knowledge of community-based service programs.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Home visiting experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
  • AHA BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
  • LA County Fire Card upon hire (within 90 days of hire).
  • Valid CA Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and valid car insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the PAT program, including staff supervision, program implementation, data collection and reporting, and budget management.
  • Supervise a team of Family Service Workers.
  • Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and staff support.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure adherence to program guidelines and best practices.
  • Monitor program outcomes and make adjustments as needed.
  • Manage program budget and resources effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records and submit timely reports to the granting agency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, including schools, healthcare providers, and other relevant organizations.
  • Participate in community events and outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with community partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Represent the PAT program at community meetings and events.
  • Maintain accurate grant documentation.
  • Submit timely reports to the granting agency.
  • Participate in grant-related meetings and activities.
