Requirements

  • HS diploma/GED with 1 year previous supervisory experience required, or a Bachelor degree with some supervisory experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 90 days prior experience with Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) population or relevant experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess valid drivers license with acceptable driving record, home telephone, and reliable transportation.
  • Personnel management capabilities.
  • Maintain confidentiality on all participants.
  • Able to operate independently.
  • Willingness to work nights or weekends.
  • Ability to train staff.
  • Experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Sign Language.
  • Greater than 90 days of prior residential experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for programmatic and staff supervisory responsibilities for the provision of habilitation services.
  • Designated liaison for the agency and the direct support professionals, the community, families, and participants in the program.
  • Prepare required paperwork to support and document activities in the contractually required timelines.
  • Satisfy DDD's requirements for staff certification.
  • Develop appropriate behavioral plans as required by the Division of Developmental Disabilities.
  • Review/complete all required progress notes, documentation and billing requirements in a timely manner.
  • Train staff and participate as a member of a team.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner that respects the rights, dignity and privacy of persons assisted.
