This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly supervisor role that supervises a single program or unit within a program, typically supporting 4-8 individuals in residential settings or 10-15 individuals in periodic, vocational or day programs. Duties are split between the provision of direct support, professional or program activities and supervision.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One-year related work experience
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Current driver's license, car registration and auto insurance if driving on behalf of the Company

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Direct Support Professionals
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the program including delivery of supports, implementation of person-centered plans, health care, advocacy, customer engagement, regulatory compliance and oversight of the physical environment.
  • Work 8 to 16 flexible hours per week in a supervisory capacity; provide direct support for the remaining hours.
  • Document individual records, billing and other program documentation for accuracy and completion.
  • Assist the Program Director in development of individual program plans; train and monitor implementation of plans.
  • Attend and assist with routine progress meetings.
  • Assist the Program Director in maintaining licensing compliance for program services and supports.
  • Complete or assist DSPs in documenting incident reports.
  • Monitor health of persons being served; communicate with medical professionals as appropriate.
  • Schedule or assist in scheduling health care appointments; accompany individuals to appointments.
  • Administer or support self-administration of medication and document delivery of medications.
  • Develop menus based on diets, preferences, and occasions.
  • Maintain productive and professional relations with individuals, families, case managers and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with recruitment; interview and hire direct support professionals.
  • Populate and maintain schedule to assure that all shifts are covered.
  • Assist with onboarding and deliver orientation and ongoing training.
  • Prepare and conduct annual evaluations for Direct Support Professionals.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with safety standards.
  • Capture daily census within systems; understand importance of accurate and timely service capture.
  • Monitor staffing hours for budgetary compliance.
  • Maintain neat, clean and safe environment for individuals served.
