About The Position

SSG-Project 180 turns lives around through innovative, wraparound services that keep people out of institutions and in their communities. Project 180 is a leader in the forensic treatment space, offering high-quality, specialized treatment programs that serve thousands of justice-involved individuals. Our programs span criminal justice intercepts and include pre-arrest interventions, court-based diversions, jail in-reach, and intensive post-release services. Project 180 operates in partnership with County agencies including the Department of Mental Health (DMH), the Department of Health Services (DHS), and the Justice, Care and Opportunities Department (JCOD). RDP is a County-operated program that diverts criminal defendants out of the criminal legal system at the early stages of the court process. The program provides in-court mental health evaluation, linkage to treatment services, and case management support to participants, whose criminal case is dismissed upon successful program completion. The Rapid Diversion Program (RDP) Program Supervisor will manage service delivery for one courthouse, supervising a team of 4-8 site-based clinical and case-management staff. The position reports to the RDP Program Manager and is responsible for leading their team to deliver high-quality service and program outcomes, coordinating day-to-day program operations in collaboration with the co-supervisor and court stakeholders, and integrating local operations with all program policies and expectations.

Requirements

Master’s degree (MSW, MFT, PCC) in a mental health field from an accredited college or university and valid license or registration with the licensing body (i.e. the BBS)
Experience working with culturally diverse populations
Valid CA driver’s license, proof of insurance and own vehicle required

Responsibilities

Manage program staff to ensure high-quality service delivery and outcomes
Hire, onboard, and train new clinicians and resource navigators as well as case managers as needed in collaboration with co-supervisor, with support from Clinical Services Manager and Program Manager as appropriate
Supervise staff to meet performance expectations.
Provide regular coaching and feedback, conduct annual performance reviews, implement disciplinary actions as needed, and perform administrative managerial duties
Monitor data on staff performance and site outcomes.
Proactively identify and address issues in order to meet local program goals.
Help staff troubleshoot challenging client-service situations through weekly supervision, ad-hoc coaching, and direct intervention as needed
Cultivate strong team culture and staff retention
Coordinate day-to-day operations with co-supervisor, court professionals and attorneys
Collaborate effectively with the co-supervisor to coordinate operations and ensure the provision of excellent client service
Build and maintain strong working relationships with attorneys, court staff, and DMH workers
Identify and resolve operational issues preventing effective and efficient service delivery
Provide coverage for in-court staff and/or other supervisors during vacancies and leaves of absence
Ensure local compliance with program policies and expectations
Communicate regularly with Program Manager to report progress and escalate issues or concerns
Provide input into program policy decisions
Oversee data quality and ensure staff compliance with data-management expectations
Understand and ensure faithful implementation of all program policies, norms, and requirements
Only applies to Licensed Clinicians: Provide clinical risk assessment and crisis intervention: Maintain LA County LPS designation Complete clinical risk assessment and facilitate psychiatric hospitalization and/or safety planning, as appropriate Participate in division 24-hour crisis line rotation
