About The Position

Manages and operates preschool or school age child care programs, including supervising and evaluating staff; ensuring a safe, fun, enriching, and developmentally appropriate environment for children; maintaining compliance with State and local regulations, managing fiscal operations. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.

Requirements

• First Aid & CPR - American Heart Association
• Large Director Certification - Colorado Dept of Human Services
• Medication Administration Training - Colorado Department of Child Care
• Universal Precautions Training - OSHA
• High School or Equivalent

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements program activities that provide children with opportunities to learn and develop skills, explore interests, and experience a sense of self-worth and belonging, and contribute to the community.
• Builds healthy relationships with children by actively engaging with them, relating to them positively, and responding to their unique needs and interests.
• Demonstrate compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Execute sound financial management and use of resources that promotes sustainability, transparency, and openness.
• Develop and implement a system for promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Ensures safety of children by providing sufficient and appropriate supervision and guidance of children at all times.
• Utilizes positive techniques to support and guide behavior and promote respectful and cooperative interactions among children.
