About The Position

PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our Orange County programs as the Program Specialist at the Costa Mesa office. ABOUT PATH Since its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing. ABOUT THE PROGRAM SPECIALIST As part of the Care Coordination Team, the Program Specialist works under the supervision of department leadership to support the programmatic and operational needs throughout the region. In this role, this position acts as a liaison between support departments, programs, and community stakeholders.

  • One (1) year of experience providing administrative support in a professional environment.
  • Have employment eligibility verification
  • Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training
  • Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire: Tuberculosis Test, Background Screening, Drug Test
  • Have reliable transportation
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
  • The ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as business administration, organizational leadership, or nonprofit management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support such as drafting and editing emails, documents, and communications on behalf of the supervisor.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate record.
  • Support with internal and external inquiries related to program.
  • Assist the supervisor with processing and completing task related to human resources, quality assurance, finance, and external affairs development.
  • Support with developing reports and other presentations.
  • Monitor and input data collection.
  • Provide back-up support for other tasks within the department
  • Office management duties including but not limited to: IT support and maintenance of building.
  • Support other staff/programs as needed.
  • Provide a high-quality customer service environment for all guests.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training as assigned by your supervisor.
