About The Position

As a Nurse Reviewer, you will be responsible for partnering with team members and external stakeholders to conduct MDS Validation Reviews. Duties include accountability for project requirements, performing day-to-day project management, providing technical assistance, medical record review, and provider education as indicated. Candidate must be located in the state of MD and have active MD Registered Nurse license.

Requirements

  • Valid, current Maryland Registered Nurse License
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a MDS Coordinator within the past 5 years
  • 8 years of experience in healthcare with Long-Term Care emphasis
  • Demonstrated successful experience in PDPM MDS Validation reviews and/or OCHQ survey history
  • 15% local and overnight travel may be required for on-site validations
  • We are unable to consider candidates outside of the United States, candidates in the state of California, or those in US Minor outlying islands and territories

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer current RAC-CT and CMAC certifications. Certifications are required within three months of hire and must be maintained throughout employment

Responsibilities

  • Perform medical documentation reviews to validate appropriate MDS submissions and RUGS for all Skilled Nursing Facilities in the State of Maryland, utilizing Federal and State guidelines.
  • Collaborate and/or manage projects with team members and other health care professionals to complete MDS validations and special project initiatives.
  • Serves as liaison with internal and external customers to ensure projects, plans and/or products are completed satisfactorily.
  • Serve as a representative of the Company at external client meetings.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Ensure data is maintained accurately and in a confidential environment, and that information is presented in a professional, accurate, and understandable way.
  • Manage customer expectations regarding the program and related activities.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders through listening sessions and workgroups to explore methods for improvement.
  • Work to retain and grow Telligen’s business through providing excellent customer service and business development efforts.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
