About The Position

The Program Specialist for Global Adult Care Services plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation of programs designed for individuals with developmental disabilities. This position is responsible for adhering to the regulations set forth in Chapter 6400 and Title 55 PA Code CH 51, ensuring that all services provided meet the required standards. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Program Specialist will be tasked with documenting incidents in the HCSIS and EIM systems, as well as training staff on these protocols. The role involves the ongoing development and implementation of provider services, necessitating a strong understanding of the HCSIS and EIM systems. In this position, the Program Specialist will be responsible for completing monthly and quarterly reports that track and analyze participant goals. This includes writing monthly progress reports based on these findings and actively participating in Individual Support Plan (ISP) meetings. The Program Specialist will review ISPs, complete annual updates, and address any discrepancies with the Service Coordinator and other team members. Implementing the ISP as written is a key responsibility, along with supervising and evaluating the services provided to individuals. The Program Specialist will also be required to maintain compliance with relevant regulations and coordinate assessments as needed. Keeping all participants' ISPs current and properly documented is essential to this role, as is the ability to communicate effectively with team members regarding any changes in an individual's needs. This position is vital for the continuous improvement of services provided to individuals with intellectual disabilities, ensuring that their needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
