About The Position

The Program Specialist Trainee position at Keystone Human Services is designed for individuals looking to make a positive impact in the lives of those with intellectual disabilities or autism. This role involves assisting the Area Supervisor and Direct Support Professionals in promoting the independence of individuals supported, while also collaborating with Behavioral Health Professionals to develop and implement individual assessments and support plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• One year of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities or autism.
• Intermediate computer skills with the ability to utilize internal software programs.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Successful completion of required trainings within specified timeframes, including First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Valid Driver's License with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including motor vehicle record and criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Area Supervisor and Direct Support Professionals in enhancing the independence of individuals supported.
• Work closely with the Behavioral Health Professional to develop and implement individual assessments and support plans.
• Participate in the creation of behavioral support plans and other associated plans of care.
