Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence. As the Program Specialist (Strategic Project Manager), you will work across all Global Dealer Learning work groups on strategic projects that directly support Technician Growth and execute lean efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Education Requirement: Engineering degree or equivalent work experience (10+ years) in the areas of project management, marketing and / or product support roles.
  • Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change.
  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Good organization, human relations, and communication skills (specifically influencing executive level communications)
  • Good knowledge of the Caterpillar dealer organization, experience influencing dealer networks globally, managing large scale projects and events and demonstrating Caterpillar’s Behaivors and Leadership Attributes

Responsibilities

  • This position will own, but is not limited to, the strategic direction of the ThinkBIG program, Course Accreditation Process, and will be responsible for the Regional Dealer Learning Center (RDLC) legal contracts.
  • This position will provide visibility and governance around the GDL 2026 “BIG 5” lean initiatives.
  • Other areas of responsibility include the Dealer Excellence Fund and liaise with the Cat Foundation, as well as inputs into the prioritization of GDL workstreams to execute Technician Growth.
