The Program Specialist (MIPPA Coordinator) plays a crucial role in empowering low-income Medicare beneficiaries by facilitating their enrollment in the Low Income Subsidy (LIS) and Medicare Supplement Program (MSP). This position involves providing client support, engaging with the community, and ensuring that beneficiaries have access to necessary resources and information.

  • Connecting with eligible Medicare beneficiaries and guiding them through the LIS/MSP enrollment process.
  • Providing ongoing support by answering questions and addressing challenges throughout their journey.
  • Collaborating with community partners to raise awareness about LIS/MSP benefits and increase program accessibility.
  • Continuously learning through MIPPA training and sharing knowledge with colleagues to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Ensuring accurate data management by maintaining organized records in databases and spreadsheets.
  • Building strong relationships with diverse clients, staff, and community partners through clear and effective communication.
  • Demonstrating initiative and collaboration to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in both independent and team settings.
  • Bachelor's degree in related fields (Social Work, Outreach, or Communications).
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare programs, particularly LIS and MSP.
  • Proven experience in outreach, enrollment, or healthcare assistance programs.
  • Familiarity with community resources and partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Stable Wi-Fi/internet access.
  • Some travel to meetings or training may be required.
