General Definition: The Program Seller obtains or receives racing products, totals bill, accepts payment, and makes change for customers by performing the following duties. Essential Job Functions: Verifies inventory and cash bank prior to start of shift Accurately completes sales transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures in a friendly, professional manner. Follows financial responsibility procedures. Greets customers upon entry to simulcast facility, grandstand, or any other designated area where customer’s entry or patronage is required in a friendly, professional manner. Balances cash and inventory at the end of shift with the assistance of the Retail Sales Supervisor. Approaches all encounters with guest and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner. Dependability, good attendance, and occasional overtime required. May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as scheduled. Have the ability to accomplish a multitude of duties as assigned Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior. QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or GED Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Requires excellent communication skills, basic math and reasoning ability under extreme public scrutiny. Strong cash handling experience required Detail-oriented and able to perform multiple tasks as assigned. Excellent customer service and cash handling skills required. Must be able to communicate fluently in English and to follow instructions as given. Bilingual a plus. Data entry skills a plus. Training: Six (6) month related experience and/or training; or combination. Licenses/Certifications/Other: Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform the essential job functions Physical Requirements: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
