About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Program Security Specialist to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and Office of Security (SIS). The Program Security Specialist will provide subject matter expertise, assistance, recommendations, and hands-on support to all Special Programs support related activities. This role involves supporting program development from cradle to grave, including establishment, maintenance, transition, and disestablishment (and archiving). Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and staffing required documentation, performing day-to-day activities to ensure timely and accurate development/integration of Special Program requirements, and preparing comprehensive written risk assessments and reports. The specialist will also attend community meetings, maintain accountability of access rosters, and prepare, review, staff, submit, and track Program Access Requests (PARs). Additionally, the role requires providing indoctrination briefings and collaborating with other NGA divisions and offices.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance and must be willing to undergo a polygraph exam.
  • Demonstrate experience applying Executive Orders 12333 and 13526, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) 906 & 705 and DoD Manual 5205.07 Vols 1-4 standards.
  • Must have successfully completed/passed the DoD course: Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) Introduction to Special Access Programs SAP 101.10.
  • Have a minimum of three to five years of experience supporting special programs (SAPs and/or CAPs).

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of DoD CDSE Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
  • Experience with Special Programs Databases and systems: JADE, DISS, SIC, Scattered Castles, ICCARS, PULSE, & E2SP.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise, assistance, recommendations, and hands-on support to all Special Programs support related activities.
  • Support program development from cradle to grave, including establishment, maintenance, transition, and disestablishment.
  • Prepare, review, and staff required documentation including staff packages, Memorandums of Agreement/Understanding, and classification documentation.
  • Perform day-to-day activities to ensure timely and accurate development/integration of Special Program requirements.
  • Prepare routine to advanced formal recommendations, reports, and correspondence.
  • Prepare comprehensive written risk assessments and reports and assist with oversight actions.
  • Attend community meetings and working groups as required by the government.
  • Maintain accountability of access rosters, program access request tracking documents, visitor logs, and destruction logs.
  • Prepare, review, staff, submit, and track SAP, CAP, and ACCM Program Access Requests (PARs).
  • Provide indoctrination briefings and debriefings as required.
  • Assist, collaborate, and coordinate with other NGA divisions, offices, and directorates.
  • Monitor security application through the review and analysis of appropriate metrics.
  • Communicate security guidance from the government lead to program managers or security officers.
  • Support the packaging and mailing of program documentation in accordance with applicable policies.
  • Support and/or conduct site inspections in support of validating SAP or CAP standards.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings to internal and external customers.
  • Understand and enforce procedures for handling SCI Controlled Access Programs, Special Access Programs, and other collateral materials.
  • Support the creation of classification-related guidance.
  • Share knowledge and experience to facilitate effective practices.
  • Provide timely classification management expertise to resolve complex classification management issues.
  • Develop innovative techniques to implement training and compliance with established classification management policies.
