About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Program Security Specialist Level 3 to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in Springfield, VA. The Program Security Specialist will provide subject matter expertise, assistance, recommendations, and hands-on support to all Special Programs support related activities. Duties include supporting program development from cradle to grave, including establishment, maintenance, transition, and disestablishment (and archiving). The role involves preparing, reviewing, and staffing required documentation, performing day-to-day activities to ensure the timely and accurate development/integration of Special Program requirements, and preparing comprehensive written risk assessments and reports. The specialist will also attend community meetings, maintain accountability of access rosters, and prepare, review, staff, submit, and track Program Access Requests (PARs). Additionally, the role requires providing indoctrination briefings, assisting with oversight actions, and communicating security guidance to program managers.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance and willingness to undergo a polygraph exam.
  • Experience applying Executive Orders 12333 and 13526, ICD 906 & 705, and DoD Manual 5205.07 standards.
  • Completion of DoD CDSE Introduction to Special Access Programs SAP 101.10.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience supporting special programs (SAPs and/or CAPs).

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of DoD CDSE Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
  • Experience with Special Programs Databases and systems: JADE, DISS, SIC, Scattered Castles, ICCARS, PULSE, & E2SP.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise and hands-on support to Special Programs activities.

  • Provide indoctrination briefings and debriefings.
  • Assist and coordinate with other NGA divisions and offices.
  • Monitor security application through review and analysis of metrics.
  • Communicate security guidance to program managers.
  • Support packaging and mailing of program documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections for validating SAP or CAP standards.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings to internal and external customers.
  • Understand and enforce procedures for handling SCI Controlled Access Programs.
  • Support the creation of classification-related guidance.
  • Provide timely classification management expertise.
