The Program Security Representative (PSR) III plays a crucial role in providing multi-discipline security support for Special Access Programs (SAPs) within the Department of Defense. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with security policies, conducting assessments, and providing leadership and oversight to enhance security measures. The PSR will work closely with various personnel to safeguard sensitive information and contribute to the overall mission of national security.

  • Provide multi-discipline security support for Special Access Programs (SAPs).
  • Ensure adherence to NISPOM, DoD Overprint, DCID, ICD, and SAP policy.
  • Develop and execute policies and procedures for safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Conduct continuous assessments of security procedures and recommend improvements.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks related to security activities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing the Operations Security program.
  • Provide oversight and assistance to contractor and subordinate facilities.
  • Brief personnel on security-related topics at various levels.
  • Conduct and document compliance reviews and follow-up actions.
  • Monitor and report on corrective actions from compliance reviews.
  • Notify management of pertinent security matters in a timely manner.
  • Investigate any loss or compromise of classified information and conduct damage assessments.
  • Coordinate with SAP security personnel for training and awareness programs.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to team members.
  • 10+ years of related experience in security management.
  • 2+ years of experience with Special Access Programs (SAP).
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (4 years).
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with compliance reviews and security assessments.
  • Familiarity with government security policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
