About The Position

The Program Security Officer - Apprentice position at ManTech involves supporting Special Access Programs (SAP) for government customers. The role requires a U.S. Citizenship and an Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility. The apprentice will assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive security program, ensuring compliance with security policies and directives, and providing guidance on security matters related to classified information.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of personnel, industrial, physical, IT/IA, and information security disciplines.
  • 1-3 years of broad general security experience.
  • Strong writing ability.
  • BS/BA or AAS in a related field or a combination of education, training, and experience beyond this baseline.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the CPSO-J with all facets of program security management in support of SAP initiatives, including personnel, physical, information, industrial, and SCI security.
  • Assist in the preparation for and conduct of security oversight inspections.
  • Ensure facility compliance with all policies and directives.
  • Provide SAP and SCI security guidance and oversight to defense contractors.
  • Assist in the development of security plans and procedures for safeguarding classified information.
  • Present indoctrination, debrief, and refresher training for program briefed personnel regarding obligations to protect classified information.
  • Coordinate tests, inspections, and repairs of program facilities (including IDS/AEC).
  • Attend program meetings as a designated security representative on behalf of the CPSO-J.
  • Provide security support at program working groups/conferences.
  • Assist in the preparation of CUAs, MOUs, and MOAs for resident non-MDA SAPs for review and approval; assist in the development and maintenance of SAP documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of SOPs.
  • Ensure proper handling and marking of classified materials.
  • Inventory and label all existing media within the facility.
  • Prepare documents for receiving, packaging, shipping, and secure transmissions.
  • Maintain DOD required office files, including destruction program materials and secure fax operations.
  • Perform Program Indoctrinations and debriefings.
  • Review PARs and respective templates, create, coordinate, and track all PARs within JADE.
  • Verify Program Access Rosters.
  • Assist in the management of the Security Awareness and Education program; provide support to reviews of inspection results to correlate training products and priorities.
  • Control visitor ingress/egress, answer phones, escort visitors; interface with senior level government and corporate officials and their staffs on behalf of the CPSO-J.
  • Coordinate conference room meetings.
  • Perform general clerical duties as required.
