About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Program Scheduling Manager to join our team. This position can be located in several cities, including: San Diego, Tucson, and El Paso. The responsibilities of the Program Scheduling Manager include the following: Oversees program scheduling related activities for medium sized programs or specialist defined controls elements of a larger program Leads the scheduling efforts across multiple projects within the program, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives, integrating project schedules into an integrated program schedule Identifies and addresses interdependencies between projects, proactively mitigating risks and resolving conflicts. Collaborates with project managers to ensure adequate resource availability and utilization. Works closely with senior leadership to define and refine program-level objectives. Provides scheduling guidance and oversight to project controls teams, ensuring effective management of individual project elements. Monitors and evaluates risk mitigation strategies to ensure their effectiveness. Facilitates clear and concise communication between project teams and stakeholders. Provides regular updates to senior leadership on program progress, challenges, and achievements. Program Environment & Expectations This role operates within a large, high‑profile federal program that requires close and continuous coordination with the Program Management Office (PMO). Successful candidates are expected to work seamlessly across field and headquarters teams, ensuring alignment with program‑wide controls standards, reporting requirements, and governance processes. While technical proficiency specific to this role is defined in the description, the successful candidate is expected to have a working understanding of cost, schedule, and document information and to navigate and interpret integrated data across these disciplines. This role requires the ability to collaborate across functional controls disciplines, contribute to integrated performance reporting, and provide clear, consumable insights for diverse stakeholders through enterprise reporting environments. Given the visibility and complexity of the program, strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are essential, along with sound professional judgment when engaging with senior leadership, clients, and external partners. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of an enhanced background investigation, which may include, but is not limited to, verification of employment and education, a criminal history review, drug screening, and a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check, as applicable.
  • Ongoing compliance with clearance and background requirements is a condition of continued employment.
