About The Position

L3Harris is looking for a Program Scheduler/Planner for our Space & Sensors organization located in Mason, Ohio. This entry-level professional will work under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks. The Program Scheduler will perform less-routine tasks in contribution to changes in systems and processes to solve problems. Responsibilities include making minor changes in processes to improve effectiveness, performing schedule analysis in support of assigned programs or projects, and ensuring major projects and program schedules are integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality. The role requires tracking plans and schedules, performing risk analysis, and utilizing project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Program Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Project, Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, Milestones Professional and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated experience on programs with responsibility for development and execution of the IMS, including setup, baseline management and update/maintenance, schedule analysis, critical path analysis, SRAs, and CDRL deliveries.
  • Knowledge and experience of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and industry best practices.
  • Experience with schedule health metrics (e.g. DCMA 14-Point assessment; DCMA EVMS Compliance Metric (DECM) and Schedule Metric Analysis - such as BEI, CPLI, SPI, etc.).
  • Ability to interface and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Able to work within tight deadlines and multi-task various projects in an organized manner.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving, attention to detail and quality of product deliverables.
  • Knowledge of EVMS Guidelines (EIA 748-D), Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD), and Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) strongly desired.
  • Experience with subcontractors' schedule integration.
  • Experience with DCMA Earned Value (EV) Audits.
  • Understanding of MRP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for detailed schedule analysis of network logic and critical path.
  • Performs 'what if' scenarios for individual program management team members.
  • Performs schedule variance analysis by comparing baseline to schedule.
  • Leads management team in schedule development.
  • Resolves critical path and network conflicts.
  • Develops new scheduling procedures, methods, and concepts.
  • Reviews and develops highly complex schedule network logic for errors and inconsistencies.
  • Ensures compliance with internal program procedures as well as PCS (Project Control Systems) guidelines and IMS DID (Integrated Master Schedule Data Item Description).
  • Provides leadership functions to other schedulers.
  • Provides schedule training to department, engineering and Controller's organization.
  • Ensures management understanding of network logic, Gantt, PERT, milestone lists, and resource information in the schedule.
