The Program and Retention Coordinator is responsible for enhancing client retention and engagement through proactive case management, strategic follow-ups, and re-entry support. This role ensures clients remain connected, supported, and successful throughout their program journey. This position is an in-office position to report to one of SOAR's main or satellite offices.

  • Identify and monitor clients at risk of disengagement or dropout.
  • Develop and implement timely retention interventions to re-engage clients.
  • Conduct structured 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins with clients to assess progress and address challenges.
  • Document outcomes and escalate concerns to appropriate support teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of client milestones, feedback, and outcomes.
  • Analyze trends to inform program improvements and enhance client experience.
  • Facilitate re-engagement plans for clients who have paused or exited the program.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth transitions back into services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years in case management, client services, or program coordination.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM or case tracking systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Regular and reliable attendance required.
  • Must be able to handle prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or standing at an event.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time when necessary.
  • Experience with retention initiatives or client engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care or motivational interviewing.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
