The Program Quality Engineer is responsible for managing the implementation and execution of program quality requirements across the program's life-cycle, including proposals, contract review, start-up, development, transition to production, production, and support. This role requires an understanding of quality tasks across various functions and involves partnering with program teams as the Quality Lead for design, development, production, and mobilization phases of program execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/ined education.
  • Considered an emerging authority.
  • AS9100 Knowledge/Experience.
  • Experience with Verification and Validation Processes.
  • Auditing Experience.
  • Program Quality Engineering or Quality Engineering Experience.
  • Excellent Communication in both Written and Oral.
  • Must be able to possess Secret Security Clearance.
  • Effective Interpersonal Skills, including Team Building and Collaboration.
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Experience within a Quality Role.
  • Corrective Action Board (Process, Command Media, Corrective Action, Preventive Action, Root Cause Analysis).
  • Experience driving strategies resulting in the strengthening of the Quality Management Systems both at internal sites and at key suppliers.
  • Experience with presentation & problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with Government customers and Internal Stakeholders.
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt).
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CSQ) and/or Certified.
  • Experience with development, production, and sustainment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation and execution of program quality requirements.
  • Responsible for all aspects of Quality across the program's life-cycle.
  • Understand quality tasks across quality functions including hardware, software, systems, and suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Partner with program teams as the Quality Lead for design, development, production, and mobilization phases.
  • Perform contract reviews and flow down contract quality requirements to the quality team, including suppliers.
  • Establish quality budgets and cost commitments.
  • Serve on the program area Risk and Opportunity Review Boards; nominate risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance Plans are documented, current, and implemented.
  • Schedule and ensure assessments of the program (e.g., quality audits).
  • Participate in independent program reviews to understand risks and drive Return to Green plans.
  • Maintain a DCMA/Customer quality relationship.
  • Establish and maintain effective Quality Program Team business rhythm.
