Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. The AIM-9X Sidewinder Missile and JSOW programs are seeking a Proposal and Risk Specialist to join the team. This position is a key member of the AIM-9X team and will have responsibility for providing compliant, on-time proposals and assisting with Risk and Opportunity Management. This position is a great growth opportunity for future careers in Proposal or Program Management. Because of the complexity of this program, this Proposal and Risk Specialist will be required to assist with a large volume of proposal activities across Production, Sustainment, Development, Integration, and International. This role will work closely with the Proposal Manager and will be in coordination across all the functions required to ensure proposal deadlines are met. This role will join a very talented team with a strong, positive program culture. It will be important that this person contributes to that positive program culture. This is an onsite position at our Tucson, AZ facility. Relocation Assistance is NOT available.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Prior Program/Project Management Experience
  • Prior Proposal/RFP Development Experience
  • Prior Leadership/Management Experience

Nice To Haves

  • Program Management Level 3 or Level 4 Certified or ability to achieve certification within 1 year
  • Demonstrated understanding of TINA compliance
  • Understanding of the DoD acquisition process
  • Experience with the internal Raytheon proposal process and tools
  • Strong understanding of Foreign Military Sales and the exportability requirements
  • Understanding and experience with international customer acquisition, budgeting, export policy, and offset process
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering design, discipline, processes, and development execution
  • Experience with large scale production programs
  • Leadership experience to include developing and mentoring others
  • Experience and demonstrated success managing change
  • Ability to focus, evaluate, motivate, and reward the teams, enabling them to achieve desired results

Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading on-time and compliant responses for critical multi-year/large procurement production proposals for the AIM-9X future
  • Assist in leading on-time and compliant responses for complex development, integration, and international proposals
  • Support management of New Business Investment (NBI)
  • Support Program Managers/Capture Managers with proposal strategy development
  • Support Risk and Opportunity Management for Execution in Production and Development
