KBR's Mission Technology division is seeking a Program Planning and Cost Control (PP&C) Analyst to oversee financial and contractual tracking across multiple government contract types. In this role, you will collaborate with Program Managers, Contracts, and other operational teams to ensure accurate cost management, forecasting, and compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in government contracting, with expertise in financial planning, cost control, and schedule management.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze cost trends, correct errors, and provide forward guidance to maximize revenue, control baselines, and minimize cost variances.
  • Prepare forecasts using program resource estimates with applied rates and factors.
  • Develop and re-baseline budgets as needed.
  • Develop and manage price/cost estimates utilizing complex pricing concepts.
  • Maintain Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), charge number control, and analyze program funding requirements.
  • Track, forecast, and analyze subcontractor and vendor costs, including fees and invoices.
  • Monitor schedules/milestones to facilitate estimates to complete and process scope changes.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to internal and external customers per contract requirements.
  • Collaborate with Program Management and Customer personnel to ensure financial and contractual deliverables are met.
  • Interpret and enforce contract language while tracking compliance.
  • Lead and implement process improvement initiatives within the Finance/Program group.
  • Contribute to the development of functional strategies and oversee global processes and procedures.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to establish decision options, provide mentoring and training to less experienced team members, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex problems independently.

Requirements

  • BS/BA & 4+ years of related government contracting experience, OR AA/AS & 8+ years of related government contracting experience, OR High School Diploma & 12+ years of related government contracting experience.
  • Technical Skills/Software Expertise: COGNOS, Costpoint, Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a DOD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with standard government agency reporting requirements (NASA, DOD).
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) reporting.
  • Working knowledge/use of COBRA.
