About The Position

The Maritime Systems Portfolio is responsible for building MH-60R Helicopters and MH-60T Cabins for multiple customers domestically and internationally, as well as maintenance and sustainment of the fleet. As we enter critical phases of production and sustainment, Lockheed Martin's Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business area is committed to delivering world-class operational execution in support of our customer's mission. As the Maritime Systems Program Operations Manager for Airframe production in Troy, Alabama, you will play a pivotal role in driving performance in the production of MH-60 R / T Airframes that will support Final Assembly in Stratford and Mission Equipment installs in Owego. You will serve as the key liaison between Program Management and Operations and will lead a team cross functional team of Production, Quality, Mfg Eng, Material Logistics, and Supply Chain to ensure delivery of Airframes on cost, schedule, and technical commitments. Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing complex production programs.
  • Strong knowledge of operations and program management principles, practices, and tools, including production planning, scheduling, and control, Earned Value, Risk & Opps
  • Experience with aircraft modifications, upgrades, maintenance and repair programs, and supply chain management is highly desired
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., operations management, industrial engineering, supply chain management)

  • Experience with aircraft manufacturing and systems integration preferred
  • Experience with lean principles and six sigma methodologies is desired
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop effective solutions

  • Experience with orchestrating cost and schedule recovery plans on red programs.

Responsibilities

  • Leading program operations for Maritime Systems in Troy for Production and Sustainment, coordinating across Production Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Program Management.
  • Managing financial performance using Earned Value Management (EVM), EAC (Estimate at Completion), and CSR (Contract Status Review) processes.
  • Overseeing labor and material execution and driving operational alignment to program requirements.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring metrics that track productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Driving operational performance through strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement.
