About The Position

The Bombeck Family Learning Center strives to provide the very best care and educational experiences for infants, toddlers and preschoolers ages 6 weeks to 5 years old by working in partnership with families as the children grow and develop. The Center is affiliated with the University of Dayton School of Education and Health Sciences. The Bombeck Family Learning Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and holds a gold rating from the State of Ohio's Step Up to Quality rating system. The Program Operations Manager of the Bombeck Center has oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Bombeck Family Learning Center related to licensing, accreditation, parent and staff engagement, conflict resolution and serves as the master teacher for the Infant/Toddler Classrooms. The Program Operations Manager collaborates with the Senior Director of the Bombeck Family Learning Center to oversee programming. They serve as a member of the Bombeck Family Learning Center Leadership Team and provide input and program design support. This position collaborates with the Senior Director and leadership team as well as the SEHS Department of Teacher Education to advance the work of the Bombeck Family Learning Center . Additionally, the Program Operations Manager may open or close and manage the reception area as needed.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in childhood education or related field
  • Five (5) years of experience as an early childhood teacher
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Knowledge of and ability to support the implementation of the Bombeck Center's Curriculum or other science and reading-focused assessment supported and integrated curriculum model for early childhood
  • Experience as a program administrator for a child care facility
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and effective time management skills
  • Child Center Administration experience including skills in managing licensing, accreditation, supporting curriculum and overall programming, parent and staff communication, conflict resolution and community-building
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities
