About The Position

You will be responsible for providing oversight, management, administrative coordination, and evaluation of the Jewish Women’s Foundation’s (JWF) annual grant cycle and grantmaking initiatives. You will support JWF’s communications strategy and assist in program design and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 3-5 years related work experience, preferably in the non-profit sector in the area(s) of women’s empowerment, social justice, philanthropy, and/or Jewish communal service
  • Experience creating written communications (i.e., website content, newsletters, reports, etc.)
  • Some knowledge and experience addressing women’s issues
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and use independent judgment
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to set and achieve goals
  • Comfortable handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of the Jewish community and culture
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn new software systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with individual donors preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead staff for all grantmaking subcommittees.
  • Work closely with trustee leadership to produce meeting content and materials.
  • Review and organize letters of intent and grant proposals; perform thorough analysis of applications; monitor grants and post-grant reports; write summaries of recommended proposals.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with grantee partners; provide support to applicants.
  • Develop grantee impact stories for JWF trustees and other stakeholders and translate them into effective internal and external communications.
  • Assist in website content management including grant cycle deadlines, grantee database, and other JWF information.
  • Assist in planning annual Grant Cycle Kickoff Event.
  • Supervise Lewis Summer Intern.
  • Represent JWF in relevant staff working groups.
  • Support JUF Campaign and mandatory campaign-related activities on an ongoing basis.
