Mozilla Foundation is a non-profit building a better technology future — powered by people, open by design, fueled by imagination. We deliver people-first alternatives to today’s extractive systems. We build side by side with developers, innovators and advocates, united in the belief that a better technology future is not only possible — it’s ours to create. Team With over a decade of experience as a grantmaker, Mozilla Foundation has invested $35M+ in technologies that put people first. Our grantmaking is deeply entwined with the community at every stage: we scout promising leaders and technologies, invest in them, connect them to networks that help them flourish, and amplify their work to the broader field. Reporting to the Director, Global Grants, the Program Officer serves as Mozilla Foundation’s connector and operational lead for grantees within the Arts + Technology focus area. This role plays a central part in advancing Mozilla’s work at the intersection of performing arts and technological innovation through the multi-foundation initiative, Artists Make Technology (AMT). AMT is led by the Doris Duke Foundation in partnership with Mozilla Foundation, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and the Ford Foundation. Together, the collaboration demonstrates how philanthropy can cultivate field-level change by positioning performing artists as co-creators of technology — not simply end users. This is a highly collaborative, operationally rigorous role that bridges field-building, grantmaking execution, and multi-stakeholder partnership management.
