The Program Monitor/Security position at the Springfield Community Justice Support Center is a vital role that focuses on ensuring the safety and security of a community-based facility that serves justice-involved adults experiencing addiction. This position requires a collaborative approach, working as part of a team to create and maintain a secure environment for clients, staff, and other service providers. The Program Monitor/Security is responsible for assisting with various tasks that contribute to a positive client experience, including conducting random urine screenings, monitoring educational and clinical classes, and providing support to clients in crisis situations. In this role, the Program Monitor/Security will follow established procedures to allow clients to enter the Center, answer and direct telephone calls, and take accurate attendance of all clients while maintaining a communication log. The position also involves transporting clients in a program minivan when necessary, writing incident reports, and communicating any concerns to program management. Participation in scheduled meetings and training sessions is expected to ensure that the staff is well-prepared to handle the diverse needs of the clients. The Program Monitor/Security plays a crucial role in preventing crisis situations from escalating by intervening and counseling clients, thereby ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
