About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced professional to be the lead Subcontract Program Manager for the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) related programs. In this leadership role you will help shape program strategies, drive efficient execution, and manage a high‑performing team of subcontract professionals. You will work side‑by-side with senior leaders within Program Management, Engineering, and other critical functional areas to help delivery exceptional results. Strategic Supply Chain Leadership – design and implement comprehensive subcontracting strategies that align with program objectives, schedule, and cost targets. Team Management & Development – lead a team of subcontract professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development. Subcontract Negotiation & Administration – negotiate complex subcontracts, ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and Lockheed Martin policies, and maximize program value. Risk Identification & Mitigation – proactively spot technical, schedule, cost, and compliance risks; develop and execute mitigation plans. Stakeholder Collaboration – build strong, collaborative relationships with internal partners (program management, engineering, finance) and external suppliers and government customers. Proposal Support – staff and support all program proposal related activities, ensuring supply chain best practices are embedded in SOW development, RFP creation, negotiation, and bid strategy. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive Subcontract Management, Contract Management, Program Management, or Engineering.
  • Leadership Ability: proven capability to lead cross functional teams, mentor talent, and drive cultural change.
  • Travel: as required to support the needs of the program.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP)
  • Proposal experience experience in aerospace, defense, or a high technology environment; Previous leadership exp. 2- 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with LM Procure 2 Pay (P2P) & Exostar
  • Risk & Opportunity Management experience
  • Earned Value and/or Control Account Management (CAM) experience
  • Strong Negotiation Experience: demonstrated success negotiating high value, complex subcontracts.
  • Experience with international customers and/or suppliers, including import/export and International Trade Compliance (ITC) rules.
  • Master’s degree in Business and/or Engineering; preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with risk and opportunity management.
  • Deep understanding of Lockheed Martin Supply Chain Management processes, LMAP/CAP, FAR/DFARs, and Prime Contract Flow Down regulations.
