About The Position

The Program Manager of Hospital Medicine Programs for OBGYN and Women and Children at PeaceHealth is responsible for overseeing operations in collaboration with lead physicians to ensure exceptional patient service and achieve operational and financial goals. This role involves proactive management of hospital medicine programs, engaging with physicians to develop action plans, and fostering a culture of service excellence among staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business and/or healthcare management or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Supervisory/leadership oversight experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Clinic and/or clinical operations experience.
  • Current registration/certification or license in State Basic Life Support upon hire.
  • Strong problem solving, decision making, and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with software implementations.
  • Strong financial management skills and familiarity with benchmarking financial performance.
  • Knowledge and experience with continuous improvement techniques.
  • Demonstrated competence in developing business plans for new services.

  • Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare Management.
  • Experience in an integrated hospital/physician group setting.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with lead physicians to lead operations to ensure overall success of the PeaceHealth hospital provider programs.
  • Proactive daily management of the hospital medicine programs including financial performance and provider practice efficiency.
  • Collaborate with lead physicians and staff to establish program goals and implementation plans consistent with strategic plans.
  • Lead implementation of quality initiatives and address specific quality-related issues in collaboration with various committees.
  • Budget planning and monitoring in conjunction with stakeholders.
  • Responsible for revenue cycle management including charge capture and documentation management.
  • Provide first line response to physician and staff issues and facilitate problem resolution.
  • Participate in the review of CVs and facilitate the interview process for physician recruits.
  • Oversee and support Providers including orientation and clinical mentoring.
  • Work closely with hospital managers to ensure efficient workflow within hospital departments.
  • Foster and model professional excellence and provide coaching to area staff.
