About The Position

The Program Manager at Parker Hannifin Corporation is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, reporting, and management of various programs. This role involves managing all phases of programs from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with contracts, and acting as a liaison between internal teams and external customers. The Program Manager will coordinate proposal preparations, monitor program progress, and lead risk management efforts while maintaining effective communication across departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.S.c/B.Eng) from a four-year college or university or equivalent.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years related experience in program management.
  • Engineering background preferred, with an M.S. or MBA being a plus.
  • Experience managing contracts with DoD and major prime contractors.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and proposal preparation.
  • Working knowledge of military/aerospace industry standards.
  • Ability to obtain Project Management Professional (PMP) certification within 12-18 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certificate in project management or related field.
  • Experience preparing status reports and proposals.
  • Contract management and export administration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer assigned MDSI Programs.
  • Lead and support program development and capture, including proposal development and negotiations.
  • Monitor cost and schedule status and prepare Estimates to Complete.
  • Ensure compliance with all Program, Contract, and MDSI Program Management Processes.
  • Establish and update program plans and schedules, reporting on progress and performance.
  • Lead Risk Management Team to identify, track, and quantify program-related risks and opportunities.
  • Interface directly with customers, suppliers, and outside services such as consultants and legal counsel.
  • Maintain continuous communication within the Product Line Team and functional departments.
  • Assist in marketing and proposal efforts for U.S. and foreign customers.
  • Develop and implement new program management directives as required.
