About The Position

Bottom Line Up Front: Hoplite Group is seeking a Program Manager to support Department of Defense (DoD) programs aligned with U.S. Special Operations Command and/or U.S. Central Command in Tampa. This role supports day-to-day program execution, coordination, and reporting across distributed stakeholders, ensuring contractual compliance and timely delivery of program objectives. The ideal candidate has prior experience with contract support to SOCOM and/or CENTCOM as site lead, or junior program manager. Expectation is to increase responsibility to senior program manager within 18 months.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as site lead, program or project management that focus on any of the following fields intelligence, information operations, strategy/planning, special activities, current operations/joint operations center support.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal contracts within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Working knowledge of federal contracting fundamentals, including FAR-based execution, reporting requirements, and compliance considerations.
  • Experience tracking schedules, deliverables, labor hours, and financial data across multiple workstreams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with MS Project or similar tools preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate independently while supporting senior program leadership.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance, with eligibility for Top Secret (Note: Active Top Secret clearance desired/preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of multiple concurrent program activities in support of DoD operational and security cooperation efforts, principally in Tampa but also able to support programs elsewhere in CONUS.
  • Assist in managing the full program lifecycle, including task initiation, scheduling, execution tracking, deliverable submission, and closeout activities. Serve as a day-to-day coordination point between government stakeholders, prime and/or subcontractors, and internal Hoplite Group teams.
  • Track program performance, milestones, and risks; escalate issues as required to senior program leadership. Coordinate with finance and contracts personnel to support cost tracking, invoice review, and vendor portal submissions. Maintain accurate program documentation, schedules, and trackers using Microsoft Office tools and program management software.
  • Produce concise weekly or monthly status reports, dashboards, and briefing materials for internal leadership and government customers.
  • Support recruiting and staffing efforts by coordinating candidate submissions, onboarding timelines, and labor tracking.
  • Ensure program execution aligns with contractual requirements, federal regulations, and internal quality standards.
