About The Position

This position is the project director for ServeOhio grant funding and is responsible for managing AmeriCorps members and coordinating and their activities in designated Mercy Health sites. The manager will provide administrative leadership, monitor activities of members, manage data and performance outcomes, ensure compliance with AmeriCorps and associated regulations, and coordinate with AmeriCorps program officers as needed. AmeriCorps is a network of more than 2,000 non-profits, public agencies, and community organizations that hire volunteers to complete service projects to benefit community needs in education, the environment, public safety, health, and homeland security.

Requirements

  • BLS Required
  • Bachelors Degree required in public health, psychology, or related field.
  • Experience with AmeriCorps member services, experience with grant funded activities and reporting

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly oversight for AmeriCorps member activities.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive member development plans, designed to ensure that members receive the federal and state required trainings and pursue individual development goals that ensure a meaningful and translatable service experience.
  • Manage the grant by maintaining appropriate, accurate AmeriCorps-related information databases necessary for reporting and compliance activities, and provide pertinent reporting as needed, ensure AmeriCorps members are compliant with AmeriCorps member requirements.
  • Develop and manage strong partnerships with Mercy service sites and collaborative leadership team (Emergency Department, Mission Department, Human Resources Department, Behavioral Health Institute, and Mercy Health Foundation) to ensure aligned expectations, adequate training, and support of overall program goals and quality member experiences.
  • Lead standing meetings with AmeriCorps members and leadership, facilitate individual site visits and group meetings.
  • Utilize sound human resource and inclusion principles and creative practices to effectively recruit, enroll and retain member positions.
  • Support efficacious program design, internal alignment and branding to contribute to long-term sustainability of Mercy AmeriCorps program.
