About The Position

The Program Manager VI reports to the Director, Security Risk Management, Education & Engagement. As a senior technical functional leader, this role will be responsible for the development and driving of strategic, enterprise-wide, cross-regional, security related engagement and training campaigns & programs for KP. This position will oversee the development of a wide range of content to support many functions within our National Security Services team, ranging from enterprise security risk management efforts, security education and engagement for KP employees and physician partners, and more. This position requires strong organizational skills, as well as strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills to ensure organizational alignment and that stakeholder needs are met.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and minimum twelve (12) years experience in project management or a directly related field, including minimum seven (7) years program management experience OR Minimum fifteen (15) years experience in project management or a directly related field including minimum seven (7) years program management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the delivery of large-scale programs or components with multiple workstreams and strategic business goals across departments, functions, or regions.
  • Drives the completion of the work of multiple program teams by evaluating and providing feedback on internal and/or external resources and team composition.
  • Proactively monitors, identifies, and mitigates risks, issues, and trigger events across multiple, interdependent programs by developing mitigation plans and strategies.
  • Monitors compliance of program activities by ensuring program plans and team members adhere to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the alignment, buy-in, engagement, and support of diverse program stakeholders.
  • Reviews vendor performance levels, provides direction on service improvements or revisions to strategy, and facilitates contract negotiations with vendors.
  • Promotes learning in others by communicating information and providing advice to drive projects forward.
  • Solicits and acts on performance feedback; provides actionable feedback to others, including upward feedback to leadership.
  • Practices self-leadership; creates, evaluates, and responds to the strengths and weaknesses of self and unit or team members.
  • Leads the adaptation to competing demands and new responsibilities; adapts to and learns from change, challenges, and feedback.
  • Fosters open dialogue amongst team members.
  • Drives the execution of multiple work streams by identifying member and operational needs; translates business strategy into actionable business requirements.

  • Analyzes, integrates, and manages program plans for the most complex program initiatives.
  • Manages and monitors the program financials of large, high profile, dynamic program initiatives.
  • Leads program activities related to organizational change management.
  • Assists in the establishment and management of proper program management practices.
  • Creates and communicates a clear vision of program goals and objectives to the team.
  • Identifies and works closely with key stakeholders based on their level of influence and decision making.
