About The Position

As a Program Manager (Value Stream Leader) - Aircraft Egress you will be joining the Propulsion Business and will be responsible for leading multiple small and mid-sized programs. The Value Stream Leader is accountable for the full lifecycle of products and services from inception through contract completion in addition to managing P&L. This includes pursuit and order capture, design and development, produce to deliver, service/support and long-term strategic business plans. This position provides the opportunity to serves as the face of the organization to our clients and customers. This position is required to work onsite at our Fairfield, CA facility.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Experience supporting the contract management of a program
  • Experience and knowledge of the product development lifecycle

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with government contracts or programs is preferred
  • Knowledge of the Manufacturing life cycle
  • SAP and Microsoft Project experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for program execution, ensuring adherence to program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility
  • Reviews and updates milestones, program plans, schedules and budgets for programs to ensure that the organization's objectives are met
  • Ensure the Integrated Project Team (IPT) is effective at managing the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule, performance and on-time delivery of company programs or subsystems of major programs
  • Identifies risks and opportunities, develops risk and opportunities, develops mitigations and recommendations to achieve customer satisfaction, cost and performance goals
  • Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests
  • Supports annual strategic planning efforts for the business
  • Prepares and presents value-stream strategy, progress, and results
  • Ensures a Continuous Improvement mentality is prevalent in the organization, actively leading and participating in Lean activities to drive quality and efficiency
