For more information about Draper, visit www.draper.com. The Sensors Program Manager will lead the development of complex sensor systems in support of strategic programs. This dynamic role will span strategy and long-term planning to details of day-to-day project execution. Focus will be on development of low-to-mid TRL technologies leading toward the goal of technology transition to production.

Requirements

  • Program and project management skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and/or new applications.
  • Knowledge and proven track record of successful business interaction.
  • Ability to be persuasive and a strong relationship builder.
  • Possess excellent communications, presentation and networking skills.
  • Ability to travel on an as needed basis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business or related field of study required.
  • 3-5 years experience in program related area with functional or program management experience.
  • Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
  • Secret Clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace systems experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages project planning and execution of individual or a collection of projects.
  • Performs activity and resource planning in coordination with the assigned engineering lead.
  • Manages all pre contract and post award contractual requirements including, but not limited to, protection of Draper proprietary data through non disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and Intellectual Property agreements.
  • Performs cost estimating and budget planning.
  • Analyzes and manages project risk and manages reports and necessary documentation from inception to close out following all Draper QMS procedures.
  • Leads the development of proposals in a teaming fashion with engineering, program administration, and F&A.
  • Effectively conveys work results to the project team, business leads, and supervisors in oral and written form; clearly communicates with sponsors, management and peers.
  • Effectively integrates team member inputs into reports and presentations.
  • Collaborates with customers through both program execution and business development activities.
  • Regularly interacts with customers and technical staff to bring new concepts/solutions to our sponsors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
