This position is a full-time professional staff position that manages all aspects of PK (Pre-Kindergarten)-12 school-based placements in education. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining professional relationships with the College's PK-12 school partners and managing all information related to field experience placements for education students. This person will be knowledgeable about all aspects of PK-12 school-based experiences in education. This position works with the associate dean, licensure manager, chairs, faculty, and university field supervisors to ensure quality PK-12 school experiences.

  • Provide leadership to establish and maintain professional relationships with the College's PK-12 school partners.
  • Manage information for PK-12 school personnel, mentor teachers, education students, and university field supervisors to facilitate quality field placements.
  • Collaborate with the Licensure Manager to ensure that education students have appropriate permits and registrations.
  • Plan and manage communication regarding all aspects of PK-12 school based experiences.
  • Collaborate with university supervisors and faculty to develop, implement, and monitor action plans for students who are struggling with field experiences.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of State guidelines, program requirements, and recommended procedures for PK-12 school-based experiences in education.
  • Collaborate with the associate dean, department chair, staff, and faculty.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • A master's degree is preferred.
  • An academic background in education is preferred.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in education, administrative experience in PK-12 schools or related university work experience is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, including presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational and analytical skills are required.
