About The Position

Manages the design and implementation of district wide school leadership development pathways that support the growth of leaders at all stages, from emerging teacher leaders to experienced principals. Coordinates onboarding and ongoing professional learning experiences that build leaders’ capacity to implement the district’s instructional framework, develop effective school based systems, and support culturally responsive practices. Collaborates with cross functional teams to align leadership development programs and ensure a cohesive continuum of support for current and aspiring school leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Public Administrations, or related field
  • 3+ years of directly related experience is required, including demonstrated expertise in adult learning theory, coaching frameworks, professional development delivery systems, and systemic implementation at a large scale.
  • 3+ years Management Experience
  • Proven ability to build trust and influence without direct authority, collaborating effectively with district executives, school leaders, and external partners
  • Skilled in developing and implementing short and long range goals, establishing enterprise wide priorities, and organizing resources to meet organizational objectives
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on managing intricate program logistics (e.g., residency match processes) and juggling multiple high priority projects in parallel Required Ability to analyze and interpret complex data (including leadership evaluations) to drive program strategy, inform improvements, and communicate findings via executive level reports
  • Deep knowledge of adult learning theory, principal competencies, and the developmental needs of aspiring and novice school leaders
  • Expertise in designing and evaluating clinical internships, with the ability to coach and guide mentor principals effectively
  • Strong understanding of academic instruction and the ability to help school leaders operationalize these frameworks to drive student achievement
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and manages onboarding and continuous learning experiences for school leaders across multiple leadership pipelines, ensuring alignment to district leadership expectations and instructional priorities
  • Facilitates cohort-based learning, communities of practice, and training sessions that support the development of school leaders’ operational, cultural, and instructional leadership skills
  • Translates the district’s Instructional Framework and leadership competencies into practical training materials and learning experiences that support school leaders in implementing effective instructional practices, including observation, feedback, and data informed teaching and learning cycles
  • Provides coaching and implementation support to school leaders, reinforcing effective distributive leadership practices and supporting the development of strong instructional systems within schools
  • Collaborates with central office departments and the Office of Schools to align leadership development offerings, reduce duplication, and ensure a cohesive experience across leadership pipeline programs
  • Supports the evaluation of leadership development programs by collecting and analyzing participant feedback, implementation data, and program outcomes to inform continuous improvement
  • Manages the operational execution of leadership development and coaching programs, including scheduling, resource coordination, communication, and support for school based leadership teams and Teacher Leaders
  • Other duties as assigned
