About The Position

As a Program Manager for Satellite Payload Technology Development at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will lead teams of satellite electronics engineers and architects to advance the state-of-the-art in space avionics and RF payload capabilities. Your role will involve managing R&D programs sponsored by National Security Space customers, ensuring program execution, customer relationships, and program sales/earnings/cash-flow goals. You will create program execution plans and schedules, manage risks and opportunities, and present program status to corporate executives and customer senior leaders. This position offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies and the opportunity to lead cross-functional teams in developing advanced microelectronics, AI/ML technologies, secure communications, and high throughput mission processing capabilities for RF systems and other complex National Security space systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 8 years relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense TS clearance required at time of hire.
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

  • Proven program management experience with high-reliability spaceflight hardware for National Security Space.
  • Strong foundation in Earned Value Management and structured risk management.
  • Leadership in RF payload development and production.
