About The Position

The Program Manager, Risk & Compliance, is responsible for providing tactical support throughout the development and planning of industry educational content and the delivery of training events related to assigned content areas. The Program Manager role, within ABA’s Office of Member Engagement (OME), will communicate with ABA volunteer banker advisory boards and faculty to schedule meetings, coordinate availability between faculty/speakers and production resources to create virtual and in-person content, provide programming status reports, and task reminders. This role works closely with the virtual platform to organize virtual content and in-person program schedules, monitors networking events and/or chat activity, responds to inquiries from faculty and attendees, and assists with budget tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 2+ years of related experience with project coordination or program management.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and communicate with customers.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience working with customized databases and web applications.
  • Ability to travel <20%.

  • Customer service and project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with lines of business throughout the Office of Member Engagement (OME), e.g., market managers, instructional designers, contract managers, business development and relationship managers, editors, certification, and training staff, to support and develop new revenue opportunities.
  • Work closely with the volunteer banker boards/committees to support assigned programs.
  • In collaboration with the Program Director, guide volunteer banker advisory board in the development of event content, including facilitating the activities of the volunteer boards/committees, e.g., actively participating in planning meetings, conference calls, contracts, and general relationship management.
  • In collaboration with the Program Director, develop product and target audience analyses that address the delivery of assigned events.
  • Coordinate personnel (volunteer and internal staff), working collaboratively with the business development manager to support sponsorship and exhibit opportunities.
  • Support on-site delivery team and serve as a staff liaison with faculty, speakers, and advisory boards, ensuring the event is delivered in accordance with ABA and OME Standards, e.g., General and concurrent sessions, special events/receptions, customer management, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with meetings management and registration staff to ensure the overall success of the event.
