The Program Manager at City Parks Foundation (CPF) is responsible for convening and supporting mission-aligned organizations through the NYC Parks and Open Space Partners coalition, as well as managing a portfolio of fiscally sponsored projects. This role focuses on fostering a community of practice among organizations dedicated to caring for New York City's open spaces, providing technical assistance, and enabling partners to raise funds for their initiatives. The Program Manager will work closely with CPF leadership and external partners, ensuring effective collaboration and support for the coalition's goals.

  • Organize the NYC Parks and Open Space Partners coalition for long-term sustainability, including meeting management and member engagement.
  • Serve as project manager for coalition-led initiatives, following operating guidelines and identifying priorities.
  • Facilitate monthly coalition and committee meetings, training, and peer learning opportunities.
  • Develop and grow coalition membership with a focus on engaging underrepresented communities.
  • Conduct program evaluation through surveys and focus groups to track membership needs and improve support.
  • Represent CPF at meetings and events, supporting social media campaigns and content development.
  • Manage and improve the fiscal sponsorship program, acting as project liaison for fiscal sponsorship accounts.
  • Coordinate with finance team and external partners to share financial reports and information regularly.
  • Monitor and update fiscal sponsorship agreements and assess new prospective projects.
  • Research and develop evaluation metrics, collecting data to report on program impact and effectiveness.
  • Support departmental work including fundraising, grantmaking, and government relations as needed.
  • At least 2 years of experience in organizing a coalition or membership organization.
  • At least 1 year of experience in supporting or working with fiscally sponsored projects.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented project management capabilities.
  • Experience in program development, evaluation, and data collection and analysis.
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and present data effectively.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and/or Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of urban planning, community resiliency, and environmental justice.
  • Deep familiarity with New York City boroughs and neighborhoods.
  • Hybrid work environment with at least two days in the office or conducting site visits.
