About The Position

Owns the Profit and Loss (P&L) for New Product Development (NPD) projects. Holds Responsibility, Authority, and Accountability (RAA) for delivering project scope within technical, schedule, cost, and quality commitments. Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), encouraging team input and resolving issues quickly. Provides performance feedback and monitors key indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in engineering, manufacturing, program management and/or leadership of project teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • PMP Certification, or the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
  • 3 years of experience with New Product Development and stage-gate process.
  • 3 years of experience working in an engineered to order (ETO) plant environment.
  • 3 years of experience engineering or manufacturing switchgear products.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects
  • Able to manage third party contractual relationships
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Must be able to achieve goals by working collaboratively and cross-functionally in a matrix environment
  • Must be capable of initiating and providing recommendations for Business Unit and Division senior leadership review and approval that will achieve desired outcomes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project
  • Stays current on advances and initiatives in the PM field and serves as a change agent.
  • Evaluates and implements new PM tools to improve quality and efficiency as needed.
  • Must be able to travel on business up to 10% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates internal communications and cross-functional collaboration for successful product launches.
  • Ensures use of standard program management processes, including PM reviews and reporting.
  • Manages project risks and requirements by integrating and controlling all activities and deliverables.
  • Delivers periodic Program Status Reports (Green/Yellow/Red) on milestones and high-risk areas.
  • Supports business proposal development and annual Roadmapping event execution.
